About LARC
Background
Liverpool’s cultural sector combines a strong tradition of collaborative working with a range of world class cultural organisations which is unparalleled outside London. LARC is a product of this unique cultural context .
Its eight members include the Bluecoat, FACT, Liverpool Biennial, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, National Museums Liverpool, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Tate Liverpool, and the Unity Theatre.
Together, we share a fundamental belief in the power of art and culture to change lives far beyond the confines of the concert hall, theatre, museum and gallery and are working as an informal consortium on a number of regeneration programmes.
This website is produced as part of Thrive – one of these major programmes.
Vision
Successful and sustainable regeneration must inspire, engage and involve people across the communities affected.
As LARC members, we are using arts and culture to achieve these goals and ultimately promote a culture of creativity, innovation, learning and ideas across all aspects of Liverpool life.
In doing so, we aim to create a confident, prosperous and healthy city that is equipped to meet the economic and social challenges of the future.

Funding Partnerships
LARC members are delivering four major programmes across Liverpool and the city region. Funding for these projects totals almost £6 million and comes from Arts Council England, Department for Culture Media and Sport, Department for Children, Schools and Families, Knowsley MBC, the Learning and Skills Council, Liverpool City Council, the Museums Libraries and Archives Council, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, St Helens MBC, and the Working Neighbourhood Fund.
